We welcome all visitors to Gainford riverside.
Walking
There are several clearly defined paths around the riverside area. Please enjoy them. Dogs should be kept under control and please pick up after them.
Wildlife
There is a wealth of wildlife along and in the River Tees and in this area you can if you are lucky spot Kingfisher, Dipper, Grey and Pied Wagtails, Buzzard, Barn Owl, Bullfinch, Blue, Great and Long Tailed Tits…keep quiet and you might just be lucky to spot an Otter.
Relaxing
You are welcome to picnic and spend time beside the river. There are benches to sit on and spaces where you can enjoy a picnic. Please respect the space. Please take your litter home.
